Dump Cake

My favorite go-to dessert for potlucks.

Ingredients

Are you making this? 
1 can (20 oz) Crushed pineapple; with juice
1 can (12 oz) Cherry pie filling
1 package Yellow cake mix
1 1/2 sticks Margarine
1 cup Chopped nuts (pecans are best); optional

Original recipe makes 20 Servings

Preparation

Spray a 13x9 pan with nonstick spray. Mix pineapple and cherries in the bottom of pan. Sprinkle dry cake mix on top. Melt margarine and pour over mix. Top with nuts. Bake at 350(F) degrees for 40-45 minutes.

Notes

Note: I've reduced the margarine from 1-1/2 to 1 stick without much problem. This is a great potluck dessert, also wonderful with vanilla ice cream.

This is such a simple and delicious recipe! It went over very well for a kids party, several moms asked for the recipe! The only problem was I ran out of ice cream, this is a repeater!
