| 2 tablespoonscooking oil |
| 1 cloveGarlic; minced |
| 0.5 cupchopped green pepper |
| 0.5 cupwhite onion; chopped |
| 1 poundground beef |
| 2 16-oz cantomatoes; 16 oz. |
| 1 tablespoonchili powder |
| 1 teaspoonSalt |
| 1 teaspoonoregano |
| 1 teaspoonPaprika |
SW.TX - Chili Con Carne with Beans Preparation
Wash beans, cover with water and soak overnight. Cook in boiling salted water until tender, drain. In hot oil, cook garlic, onion, green pepper, ground beef until lightly browned. Add remaining ingredients and simmer about 2 hours, adding water if necessary. Add cooked beans and heat thoroughly.
