Original recipe makes 16
14 ozdigestive biscuit; crushed
6 ozButter
2 1/2 ozgolden syrup
1.5 ozdrinking chocolate
9 ozcooking chocolate

Chocolate Tiffin Preparation

Melt the butter and the syrup

Mix in the drinking chocolate

Stir in the crushed digestives

Push into a lined baking tray or ceramic baking tray (or anything really - it's not going in the oven!). Make sure you push it all down into the corners but if you push it really hard you will get a layer of buttery fat on top, then again not hard enough and it will all fall apart! Let it set for at least a couple of hours.

Melt the cooking chocolate and pour it on top. Let it set.

Cut it all up and enjoy!

Often people like to add chopped cherries to the base as well (approx 3 oz should do).

Really quick and easy. Make a huge batch of crushed digestives in one go and put them in a box. Just throw a whole packet into a magimix or similar and it will do the lot.
Also don't worry about adding all the ingredients bit by bit. Just throw it all together into a big bowl and use the microwave and it's super quick [I posted this recipe.]
