Scalloped Cheesy Ham and Potatoes

Recipes »  Side Dish  »  Potatoes

Very rich side dish; great with winter roasts.

"Great recipe! I made the sauce though and poured it over the potatoes and ham. To make sauce: Cook onion in butter over medium heat until translucent, stir in flour until bubbly, slowly add milk while stirring; stir until sauce thickens, stir in cheese until melted; remove from heat. I think that next time I will leave the foil on for longer, as the top was over browned for my liking." - MrsVanLoo

This dish was yummy!!! The only thing I will do different next time is add the cornstarch to the ho t milk instead of sprinkling it on the potatoes before baking. *I subbed cornstarch for the flour.

I used my leftover ham from Christmas to make this dish. This was a simple dish that had lots and lots of flavor! I added some peas and hot rolls....all plates were clean!
