Better Than Bisquick Baking Mix

Recipes »  Breakfast  »  Pancakes

This versatile baking mix can be used in any bisquick recipes, and in our families opinion, is even better than the store bought stuff (and much more affordable)!

"I never buy bisquick but so many recipes call for it, so I made this just to use in recipes. Soon I was making delicious and very easy biscuits too! I'm about to make this recipe again to use in some peanut butter cookies since I've used up all my "homemade" biquick already. "

We always double this recipe and put half in the fridge and half in the freezer. When we use the fridge container up, we move the freezer container down to the fridge and and then we know it's time soon to make some more mix. Here are the doubled ingredients to make it easier if you want to do the same: 9 cups flour 3 teaspoons baking powder 3 teaspoons salt 2 teaspoons cream of tartar 1 teaspoon baking soda 1 1/2 cups of powdered milk 2 1/4 cup shortening I have also seen other people mix this in a food processor for about 3 minutes, but our food processor isn't big enough for the doubled mix so I never have, but it should be easier that way I suppose.
