Recipes »  Main Dish  »  Slow Cooker

You can add more sour cream if you wish, and a bay leaf or herb of your choice.

"We used sirloin steak cut into strips about 1" X 2" X 1/2" thick and browned before putting them in the crock pot. We cooked for 9 hours and it came out very good. Meat was tender, sauce was thick and savory. We'll do it again." - mikeb5984

Near the end of the cooking, I had to add a little more flour to thicken the sauce a little.

I couldn't even eat it. The flour caked up at the bottom of my slow cooker and burnt. Guess I should have paid more attention to it as it cooked. I will try this recipe again but I will add a thickener closer to the end. Sad I couldn't eat it.

We just tried this recipe. Very tasty! I added paprika, sprinkled over top each plate. I used Angus chuck stew beef, and it was tender and falling apart after only seven and a half hours.

This recipe is great! Nothing more than that needs to be said. I love it over rice best.

I will make this again, but cut down on the ingredients a bit. Was a little too creamy for our liking.
