Original recipe makes 30
125 gramIcing sugar; plus extra for dusting
125 gramFlour
80 gramButter; melted
2 teaspoonVanilla extract
3 largeEgg white

Vanilla Wafer Tuiles Preparation

Preheat oven to 180?C (350F, Gas Mark 4). Combine all the ingredients in a mixing bowl and whisk together until smooth and thick. Add a teaspoon of the mixture to a baking tray lined with grease proof paper. Spread the mixture to create a long thin strip. Repeat with the remaining mixture, then bake for 8-10 minutes until golden and almost crisp. Quickly peel the wafers from the baking tray and weave between the handles of 3 wooden spoons to create a wavy effect. Dust with icing sugar and serve with cups of creamy coffee.
