This spicy turkey bean chili recipe is low on fat, and high on flavor. Combine it with tortilla chips or a salad to make an excellent meal.
In a large sauce;pan or Dutch oven, heat the oil. Add the turey, bell peppers, onions, garlic, cumin, oregano, cayenne and bay leaves; cook, stirring as needed until the turkey is browned and the vegetables are softened, 6-8 minutes.
Add the tomatoes, beans, chiles and jalapenos, bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer, covered, stirring as needed, until the flavors are well blended, about 45 minutes. Discard bay leaves.
