Sloppy Joe

"Delicious recipe. Super easy. I substituted shallots for onions as it was what I had on hand.

Make sure you stir the mix occasionally during the simmer or you run the risk of caramelizing sugars on the bottom of the pan. Some people don't like that (I do).

This recipe is an invitation to mess with the ingredients. I ended up doubling or tripling the garlic, too. It is also delicious with a dash of Worcestsire. The basic prep and ratio of sweet to sour are all that matter. Beyond that, you can be entirely creative and end up with something delicious!" - bbum

Super yummy and quick! My family couldn't get enough. I skipped the vinegar though as I didn't have any on hand.

Made this tonight. Super quick. I used 3 garlic cloves; glad I did b/c it balanced out the sweetness nicely. Will def make again.

I just made this for the first time today and it turned out great! I didn't have relish, so I diced up a few Claussen pickles instead. I added diced green pepper into the meat, onion and garlic mixture. After I read some of the reviews, I added someworxhestshire sauce and some of my favorite barbecue sauce.

Yummy! I didn't use vinegar because I didn't have any on hand & I used dill pickle relish so it wouldn't be overly sweet. It made a lot too so plenty for leftovers! And really easy & quick. Thanks! The longest part was chopping onion & garlic.

My wife and 5yr old loved this. I subbed in diced bread and butter pickles for the relish. I also used red wine vinigar. Added in a dash of thick worcestershire sauce.
