This recipe uses turkey sausage and low-fat milk and, when paired with a low-fat or whole wheat biscuit and egg beaters can give you a hearty, delicious breakfast.
Spray a heavy skillet (I use cast-iron) with oil or non-stick. Add sausage, onion and about 1/4 cup water. Scramble meat and onion, cook until done and water is evaporated. Stir in flour. Add milk and mushrooms with liquid. Cook until thickened. Salt and pepper to taste. Serve over biscuit and 1/4 cup Egg Beaters, scrambled.
