Chocolate Tart

This is a very rich but tasty dessert to serve during the holidays. My kids loved them and it is pretty easy to make

Chocolate Tart

Original recipe makes 8
1 cupheavy whipping cream
7 oz.dark or bittersweet chocolate; chopped
1 egg yolk
1 9"prebaked pastry shell
Topping:
1 containercool whip
1 barcream cheese; softened
0.333333333333333 cupsugar; or less if prefered
2 tspVanilla

Chocolate Tart Preparation

Preheat oven to 325 deg. In a small saucepan, bring cream to a simmer. Removed from heat and add chocolate. Stir until chocolate is completely melted. Let sit for 5 minutes. Stir in egg yolk until thoroughly combined.

Pour into pastry shell and bake about 20-25 min. Let cool.

Topping:

Combine all ingredients and beat with and electric beater at low to med speed. Spread evenly on top of cool tart or use cake decorating tip to make it look fancy.

Refrigerate.
