Yummy salad or dessert
"It looks wonderful and was very easy. I used low cal or fat free ingredients and it still tasted wonderful. Note to newcomers to this recipe...make crust first before you start on next steps..I would then do third layer and as it sits do second layer steps...thanks again! I made this again tonight. | 2 cupspretzels; crushed |
| 0.75 cupButter; melted |
| 3 tablespoonsSugar |
| 1st Layer: |
| 8 ozcream cheese |
| 1 cupSugar |
| 8 ozcool whip |
| 2nd Layer: |
| 6 ozstrawberry jello |
| 2 cupswater; boiling |
| 1 20-oz packagefrozen strawberries with syrup |
Strawberry Pretzel Salad Preparation
Crust:
Mix ingredients in 9x13 pan and bake 350 degrees for 8 minutes. If you are using a glass pan, bake at 325 degrees for 8 minutes. Let cool.
1st Layer:
Beat sugar and cream cheese. Fold in cool whip. Spread over pretzel crust.
2nd Layer:
Mix jello and boiling water. Add frozen strawberries and set aside for 10 minutes to let slightly thicken. Pour over 1st layer. Chill.
