My son loves the sweet Hawaiian bread, this recipe is a perfect "copycat".

Original recipe makes 8
6 cupsall purpose flour; plus extra flour
3 Eggs
2 cupspineapple juice
3/4 cupSugar
1/2 tspginger
1 tspvanilla
2 1/4-oz packsyeast
1/2 stickunsalted butter; melted

King's Hawaiian Bread Preparation

In a heavy duty stand mixer, beat the eggs then add the pineapple juice, sugar, ginger, vanill, and butter. Put 3 cups flour, iIn a seperate bowl. Using the dough hook slowly add the egg mixture. Mix until well combined the add yeast one packet at a time. Add the remaining 3 cups flour and mix until thoroughly combined. Cover the bowl with a cloth and set in a warm place to rise for 1 hour.

Remove from the bowl and knead in 1/2 c flour. Knead about 10 times. Shape into rolls or loafs. Place in greased and floured loaf pans. Cover and place in a warm area and let rise another hour.

Bake at 350 for 25-30 mins

It turned out a little too pineappley in flavor and not quite as sweet as I'm used to. Otherwise it's a great recipe.

If you prepare this in a bread machine, spray the top with cooking spray. This dough is a big riser. [I posted this recipe.]
