Original recipe makes 18
1 cupSugar
1 cupButter; (2 sticks)
2 Eggs
1 teaspoonVanilla
2 cupsFlour
1 teaspoonBaking Powder
1 teaspoonBaking soda
1/2 teaspoonSalt
1 cupSour cream
-- Topping --
1/3 cupBrown sugar
1 teaspoonCinnamon
1/2 cupGranulated sugar
1 cupPecans; chopped (optional)

Sour Cream Coffee Cake Preparation

Cream butter and sugar.

Add eggs and beat.

Sift dry ingredients; add alternately with sour cream. Beat well after each addition.

Add vanilla.

Combine all topping ingredients (brown sugar through pecans) in a small bowl.

Grease and flour two 8" pans.

Pour 1/4 of batter into each pan.

Sprinkle with half of topping.

Divide remaining batter between both pans and sprinkle with remander of topping.

Bake in 325 oven for 35-40 minutes.

Thanks for this recipe! I skip the pecans and it's still always delicious. It's even good with reduced-fat sour cream. I use this recipe often :)
