| 1/2 cupBell pepper; red. green. or both |
| 1 teaspoonGinger root; chopped |
| 1 poundGround turkey; (or ground beef) |
| 1/2 cupGreen onions; sliced |
| 1/2 cupBread crumbs; plain |
| 1/2 teaspoonSalt |
| 1 cupTeriyaki sauce |
Hawaiian Meatballs Preparation
Preheat oven to 400F. Drain pineapple. reserving juice; set aside. Finely chop peppers. Combine 1/4 cup of pineapple juice, pepper, ginger, turkey, onion, bread crumbs and salt in bowl; mix gently but thoroughly. Shape meat mixture into balls; place in pan. Pour teriyaki sauce over meatballs; mix lightly to coat meatballs evenly. Bake 30 minutes. Pierce each meatball with toothpick, add 1 piece of pineapple and serve.
