Original recipe makes 6
1.5 lbsstewing beef; cubed
0.25 cupFlour
1 clovegarlic; or powder
0.25 tspcelery salt
1 Salt; to taste
1 pepper; to taste
1 19-oz cancrushed tomatoes
0.5 cupred wine; dry
0.25 cupmaple syrup
0.5 cupwater
4 potatoes; diced
2 carrots; sliced

Maple Stew Preparation

Mix flour, garlic, celery salt, salt, and pepper in small dish. Cube stewing beef into smaller pieces if not already bite-size. Coat stewing beef in flour mixture. Place coated beef into oven-safe pot or crock pot.

Add remaining ingredients into pot.

Bake in oven at 400 for 4 hours, or crock pot on low for 6 hours.

For cheaper cuts of meat, use crock pot to make more tender. Use real maple syrup for best flavor, I also use organic. If adding dumplings, I will add to crock pot in last hour of cooking. [I posted this recipe.]
