6 pork chops blade-cut; 1 inch or more thick
2 tablespoonsoil
1 Onion; chopped
3 clovesgarlic
2 tablespoonsFlour
0.25 cupapple butter
1 cupapple cider
1 sprigthyme
1 teaspooncider vinegar
1 tablespoonParsley; chopped

Braised Pork Chops Preparation

Pre-heat oven to 300 degrees. Pat chops dry, season liberally with s & p. Heat oil in dutch oven and brown chops, two at a time.

Pour off all but one tablespoon fat. Add onion and cook few minutes till soft. Add flour, garlic, and 2 tablespoons apple butter, cook 1 minute.

Stir in cider vinegar and thyme, scrape nice brown stuff on bottom of pan. Add chops and any liquid. Cover and place in oven for 1.5 to 2 hours.

Remove chops. Strain sauce with fat separator. Whisk in vinegar, parsley, remaining apple butter. Pour over chops. Eat.
