1 onion , small; chopped
3 large clovesGarlic; minced
8 ripe roma tomatoes; (quartered)
1 8-oz cantomato paste
12 ouncessundried tomatoes; (not the ones packed in oil)
1 cupWater
1/4 cupfresh basil; (or 3 tsp dried basil leaves) Chopped
2 tspDried oregano leaves
1/2 tspred pepper flake
1 tsSalt
1 tbOlive oil

Tomato Basil Pasta Sauce Preparation

Heat the oil over medium heat. Add the onions and cook until translucent. Add the garlic and let it sautee for about a minute. Add all remaining ingredients and bring to a simmer. Reduce until it becomes a thick sauce. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
