| 1 onion , small; chopped |
| 3 large clovesGarlic; minced |
| 8 ripe roma tomatoes; (quartered) |
| 1 8-oz cantomato paste |
| 12 ouncessundried tomatoes; (not the ones packed in oil) |
| 1 cupWater |
| 1/4 cupfresh basil; (or 3 tsp dried basil leaves) Chopped |
| 2 tspDried oregano leaves |
| 1/2 tspred pepper flake |
| 1 tsSalt |
| 1 tbOlive oil |
Tomato Basil Pasta Sauce Preparation
Heat the oil over medium heat. Add the onions and cook until translucent. Add the garlic and let it sautee for about a minute. Add all remaining ingredients and bring to a simmer. Reduce until it becomes a thick sauce. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
