Cajunwannabe Bar-B-Q Sauce

Excellent sauce for basting ribs or to accompany a brisket BBQ or pork shoulder.

Original recipe makes 25
2 cups ofketchup
1/3 cupApple Cider Vinegar
1/3 cupdark brown sugar
1/3 cupmolasass
1/3 cupcajun mustard
1/4 cupFrank's Hot Sauce
1 cupVooDoo Beer; (or other dark beer)
1 tablespoon ofgarlic powder
1 tablespoon ofcrushed garlic
1/4 cup ofliquid smoke
1/4 cup ofWorcestershire Sauce

Cajunwannabe Bar-B-Q Sauce Preparation

Open the beer and pour into a glass to release most of the gasses - measure out a cup and drink the rest.

Put all of the ingredients into a heavy sauce pan and bring to a boil. Simmer 20 - 30 minutes or until it reaches desired consistency.

Cool it off and put it into an airtight jar or bottle.

You can vary the quantities of hot sauce and liquid smoke to change the characteristics of the sauce. Substitute grainly mustard for cajun if you can't find it. [I posted this recipe.]
