I love this garlic cheese bread with Italian dishes. It is very easy to make, and tastes great.
"Fabulous!!! I am not even sure that does this recipe justice. I used ciabatta bread. I used fresh oregano and fresh basil because I have my own herb garden. We had friends over so I served it with dinner and they devoured it. I only had 3 slices. A definite keeper. Thank you!!!!" - Arvan43Yield: 8 Servings Ready in 13 minutes

1 largeItalian bread loaf
0.5 cupUnsalted butter; softened
5 clovesGarlic; minced
0.5 teaspoonDried Oregano
0.5 teaspoonDried basil
0.5 teaspoonSalt
black pepper; Freshly ground, to taste
0.25 cupParmesan cheese; grated
0.5 cupMozzarella cheese; shredded
Zesty Garlic Cheese Bread Preparation
Preheat oven to 350 deg F.
Take bread loaf and slice lengthwise to make two halves. Lay bread onto baking sheet.
Take remaining ingredients and mix together in a small mixing bowl to make herbed garlic butter. Spread 3/4 of butter all over garlic bread evenly. I usually use this amount and then save the last 1/4 of butter to add to other dishes. If you feel like indulging, or if you are just a big butter fan, however, feel free to lather it all on the bread.
Bake in the oven for about 10 minutes or until nice and golden.
Notes
As you may notice, I use dried herb ingredients in here, so that I can make this year-round. In the summer, however, when the herbs are fresh, I usually like to substitute the dried herbs for fresh herbs for an even better taste.
