2 onions; chopped separately
2 lbs. lean ground beef
3 clovesminced garlic
2 t. ground cumin
2 t. oregano
3 T. chili powder
1 candiced tomatoes (28 oz.) undrained
1 canRo-Tel tomatoes (we used the hot ones) undrained
1 cantomato sauce (8 oz.)

Jerry's Chili Preparation

Wash beans and cook with one chopped onion in slow cooker with enough water to keep the beans covered. Cook on high for about three hours until they are mostly cooked.

Brown lean ground beef with other onion and garlic. Drain off any excess fat, then add spices (don't skimp on the spices!). Drain excess water from cooked beans and add ground beef mixture to the beans in the slow cooker. Add tomatoes and tomato sauce. Mix thoroughly and cook on low for three hours or until it smells so good you can't wait any longer to eat it.
