Original recipe makes 12 Servings
1 1/2 cupsAll purpose flour
1 cupsugar
1/4 cupbaking cocoa
1 teaspoonbaking soda
1/2 teaspoonSalt
1/4 teaspoonbaking powder
1 1/3 cupmashed bananas
1/3 cupVegetable oil
1 egg
1 cupminiature semisweet chocolate chips

Double Chocolate Banana Muffins Preparation

In a large bowl, combine the first six ingredients. In a small bowl, combine bananas, oil and egg; stir into dry ingredients just until moistened. Fold in chocolate chips. Fill greased or paper-lined muffin cups three fourth full. Bake at 350 for 20 to 25 minutes or until muffins test done.

Makes 1 dozen muffins.

This looked like & turned out to be a great base for me to try out a new recipe. I can't have regular flour or processed sugar, so I adapted it to use spelt flour & maple syrup.

It turned out so well, I posted it as a recipe: Spelt Maple Syrup Chocolate Banana muffins. Thanks again!
