Black Forest Cake
|1 pkg. devil's food cake mix (13 x 9-inch size)|
|eggs per cake mix directions|
|oil per cake mix directions|
|1 can(21 oz.) cherry pie filling|
|1 tbsp. almond extract|
|1 pkg. (5.3 oz) instant vanilla pudding & pie fillin|
|milk per pudding and pie filling directions|
|2 tbsp. vanilla extract|
|1 container(8 oz.) whipped topping; thawed|
|3 tbsp. mini chocolate chips|
|15 maraschino cherries with stems|
Black Forest Cake Preparation
Mix and bake cake wiht eggs and oil per box directions for 13 x 9 inch cake.
Stir almond extract into pie filling.
While cake is still warm, poke top with fork; spread cherry pie filling over cake.
While cake cools, prepare pudding as directed on box for a pie; stir in vanilla. Stir in whipped topping. Spread over cake, carefully covering pie filling.
Sprinkle wiht mini chocolate chips.
Cover and refrigerate. To serve, top each serving with maraschino cherry.
Store left overs in refrigerator..
