This is an easy fish sticks recipe that kids can make mostly on their own, with just a little help from an adult. In place of the cod, feel free to use tilapia, catfish, snapper, or any other thick, firm-fleshed fish fillets.
Preheat the oven to 400 deg F. Lightly grease a baking sheet.
Kids: In a large bowl, stir together the tartar sauce, yogurt, and salt. Spoon half the mixture into a small bowl to use as a dip.
Kids: Spread the breadcrumbs on a large plate.
Cut the fish crosswise into 1/2-inch-wide sticks.
Kids: Add the fish sticks to the large bowl with the yogurt mixture and stir gently to coat. Dip the fish sticks in the breadcrumbs one at a time and turn them over until they're coated on all sides.
Kids: Place the breaded fish sticks on the prepared baking sheet.
Bake the fish sticks until opaque (solid white, not clear) in the center, about 15 minutes. Use a spatula to transfer the fish sticks to individual plates. Serve with a small dollop of yogurt sauce from the small bowl.
