Original recipe makes 4 Servings
6 ozbow ties pasta
12 ozItalian sausage; cut into 1/2" pieces
1 mediumchopped
2 garlic cloves; minced
1 largered sweet pepper; cut into 1" pieces
1 largegreen pepper; cut into 1" pieces
1 cupsliced fresh mushrooms
2/3 cupchicken broth
1 tablespoonsnipped fresh basil or 1 teaspoon dried basil
2 teaspoonscornstarch
1 largetomato; coarsely chopped (1 cup)

Bow Ties with Sausage and Peppers Preparation

While cooking pasta, cook sausage, onion and garlic for 5 minutes in large skillet. Add red sweet pepper, green pepper, and mushrooms. Cook for about 5 more minutes or until sausage is brown. Drain fat.

Combine broth, basil, and cornstarch. Add to sausage mixture. Cook and stir until thickened and bubbly. Cook and stir for 2 minutes more. Stir in tomato; heat through. Pour sausage mixture over pasta; toss to mix.
