Fresh Asparagus and Chicken Casserole

| 2 lbsChicken; cubed |
| 8 ouncesegg noodles |
| 1 TbsOlive oil |
| 1 Onion; chopped |
| 1 Red bell pepper; chopped |
| 2 stalksCelery; chopped |
| 1/2 teaspoonOregano |
| 1 cupChicken broth |
| 1 1/2 cupSour cream |
| 1/4 cupFlour |
| 2 lbsAsparagus; chopped in 2" lengths |
| 1/2 cupParmesan cheese |
Fresh Asparagus and Chicken Casserole Preparation
Preheat oven to 350?. Lightly grease a 9x13 casserole dish.
Boil noodles, drain, rinse with cold water and set aside. Cook chicken meat thoroughly. Remove chicken from skillet. Heat olive oil over medium heat. Cook onion for 4 to 5 minutes, stirring frequently. Add chicken, red pepper, celery, and chicken broth. Bring to a boil, and simmer for 5 minutes.
Mix flour and sour cream together. Add to skillet along with oregano.
Spread half of the chicken mixture into the casserole dish. Arrange asparagus over chicken, spread cooked noodles evenly over asparagus, and top with remaining chicken mixtures. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
Bake 30 minutes in the preheated oven, until lightly browned.
Notes
This would be good with mushrooms, but my kids are in a mushroom-averse phase right now.
