A meaty, long-cooked pasta sauce.
Brown ground chuck and crushed garlic in 3 tbs. olive oil. Remove sausage from casings. mix, and form into small balls. Brown in 2 tbs. olive oil. Drain the beef and sausage of all fat. Place in large, heavy 5 qt. saucepan and add all the remaining ingredients. Bring to just under boiling, reduce heat, and simmer under lowest possible heat for 4 hrs.
Sauce can be frozen or stored in sterile jars.
