Steamed tofu
Original recipe makes 4 Servings
| 2 tbspSoy sauce |
| 2 tspsesame oil |
| 2 tspchile garlic sauce |
| 1 tspsugar; or mirin |
| 16 ouncessoft tofu |
| 2 Green onions; thinly sliced |
| 2 tspfurikake; a Japanese seasoning found at most asian markets |
Steamed tofu Preparation
1. Mix soy sauce, sesame oil, chile garlic sauce, and sugar in a small bowl. Set aside.
2. Drain tofu and cut into 1/2" slices. Place in a wide shallow heat-proof bowl.
3. Place the bowl into anbamboo steamer over boiling water. Steam 3-4 minutes.
4. Remove from heat and spoon out any liquid. Pour the sauce over the top and sprinkle with green onion and furikake. Serve immediately (it cools quickly).
