Hearty turkey chili

| 1 cupcoarsely chopped onion |
| 1 red bell pepper or/orange or/yellow, cut into 1/4- |
| 2 clovesGarlic; minced |
| 2 jalapeño peppers; seeded and minced (optional) |
| 1 tablespoonchili powder |
| 1 1/2 teaspoonsground cumin |
| 1/2 teaspoondried oregano leaves |
| 1/4 teaspooncrushed red pepper flakes (more or less for spice |
| 1/4 teaspoonwhite pepper |
| 1/4 teaspoonblack pepper |
| 1/4 Salt |
| 1 tablespoonground cinnamon |
| 2 cans oforganic dice tomatoes, drained; 16 oz |
| 1 canblack beans, drained and rinsed; 16 oz |
| 1 canred kidney beans, drained and rinsed; 16 oz |
| 1 cansweet corn, drained and rinsed; 16 oz |
| 8 ouncetomato sauce |
| 1/4 cupfresh cilantro; chopped |
| 1/4 cuplow fat shredded Cheddar cheese |
Turkey Chili Preparation
Directions
In a large stockpot, combine turkey, onion, bell pepper, garlic, jalapeño peppers, chili powder, cumin, white pepper,salt, oregano, red pepper flakes and cinnamon. Cook mixture over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally, until turkey is no longer pink. Stir in tomatoes and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer uncovered for 5 minutes. Stir in beans, corn and cilantro. Continue cooking for an additional 5 minutes. Serve topped with cheese
