Spritz Cookies
These are the simplest cookies to make in the world. If you haven't made cookies with a cookie press because it was a pain in the neck, go and get a good cookie press and try this recipe. I was able to bake 6 dozen cookies in a half an hour, which included making the dough, pressing it out, baking and cooling.
If you want to decorate your cookies with sugar, or small decorations, it should be done before they are put in the oven. If you want to decorate after, then you have to use a glaze to make the decoration stick. Since the cookies are not in the oven very long, the decoration will not burn. It's a lot easier to decorate before you put them in the oven.

Notes
You can easily turn these into chocolate or spice cookies by adding cocoa or spices like cinnamon.
