Jello Salad

Original recipe makes 10 Servings
1 cboiling water
2/3 cred hots
1 packagered jello
1 ccanned applesauce
8 oz.cream cheese
1/2 cmayonnaise
1/2 cchopped celery
1/2 cchopped pecans

Red Hot Salad Preparation

Stir the boiling water and red hots together until candy is dissolved. Add the package of red jello and the applesauce. Put half this mixture in a bowl or mold, and refrigerate to set. Leave the rest of the mixture at room temperature. In a clean bowl, beat the cream cheese, mayonnaise, celery, and pecans until mixture is creamy. Spread over the set jello and pour the reserved jello on top. Refrigerate until set.

If you are too impatient to wait for the first half of the mixture to set, then just semi-set all the jello mixture togther and 'marble in' the cheesy mixture. [I posted this recipe.]
