Original recipe makes 8 Servings
1 cup1% milk; warm
1 tablespoonlight butter
1 tablespoonwhite sugar
1 1/2 teaspoonssalt
1 1/2 teaspoonsItalian seasoning or basil
3 teaspoonsgarlic powder
3 cupswhite flour
2 teaspoonsactive dry yeast

Bread Machine Garlic Herb Bread Preparation

Place ingredients in the pan of the bread machine in the order recommended by the manufacturer. Select Basic Bread cycle; press Start.

Usually - add wet ingredients (milk, butter) first in bottom of pan. Next mix dry (sugar, flour, salt, seasoning, garlic, flour). Layer on top of & cover wet ingredients. Sprinkle yeast on top - last.

Its a good substitute to use 1 cup of wheat flour in place of 1 cup of white flour. I also use bread machine yeast from the jar in place of active dry - same measurement. Lower garlic to 2 teaspoons if flavor is too strong - but I loved it. [I posted this recipe.]
