Original recipe makes 10 Servings
4 cupsfat-free half-and-half
2/3 cupsugar
1 teaspoonpeppermint extract
3/4 cupmini semisweet chocolate chips

Best-Ever Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream Preparation

1. whisk the half-and-half, sugar, and extract in a large bowl the sugar is dissolved, 2-3 minutes.

2. pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and freeze according to manufacturer's instructions, adding the chocolate chips about 10 minutes before the icream is done. transfer the ice cream to a freeze container and freeze until firm, at least 2 hours or up to 6 hours. this ice cream is best served on the day it's made.
