Original recipe makes 6 Servings
1 1/2 lb.ground round
1/2 lb.ground pork
1 egg
1/4 cupwhole wheat bread
1 mediumonion; finely chopped
Season to taste
1 cansmushroom soup
1 canmilk (or water)
1 teaspoonskitchen bouquet (optional for color)

Salisbury Steak with Mushroom Gravy Preparation

Combine meat, egg, bread crumbs, onion and seasoning. Shape into patties. Preheat skillet to 350 degrees. Place patties in skillet and brown on each side. Mix mushroom soup, kitchen bouquet and milk together and pour over patties. Lower heat to 250 degrees, cover and cook about 20 minutes or until done.
