family favorite forever...it's the first recipe my grown sons asked me to give them!
Saute chopped onion in small amount of oil until golden brown. Add meat and season with salt & pepper; cook until meat is browned. (Drain excess oil/juices, if necessary.) Add drained green beans and un-diluted tomato soup. Mix together and set aside. combine the mashed potatoes with the milk and egg. Prepare a casserole dish with cooking spray. Pour hamburger mixture into casserole dish and top with spoonfuls of the potato mixture. Bake, uncovered at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes. Should be heated through and the potatoes will be lightlly browned on top.,
.
I have substituted instant mashed potatoes, when almost ready sprinkle with grated cheese-lightly browned is nice. Holds well in 200 degree oven. Enjoy.
