An old recipe that has no name but is broadly chicken in a white wine and cheese sauce. goes great with croquettes and a bit of veg for colour such as sugar snap peas.
Add some olive oil to a large saucepan and heat through. Add onions and garlic on a medium heat and sweat for around 3 minutes until soft and translucent adding a little salt. Turn down the heat and add the cream and cream cheese and warm on a low heat until the cream is slightly bubbling and the cream cheese melts. Slowly add the wine and stir as doing so. Bring to the boil and immediately turn down the heat to a simmer.
Add the sliced/cubed chicken and cook for a couple of minutes and then add the mixed herbs and seasoning as preferred (I prefer black pepper for a bit of extra colour). Cook for 10 minutes before adding the peas and cooking for a further 10 minutes or until fully cooked.
You can play around with different herbs instead of the mixed ones adding marjoram, oregano and others to your preference although for ease mixed work well. You could also add more than I have suggested which I have done and it works well. As with all things add more to preference as cooking.
