Original recipe makes 36
1/2 tsLemon rind; grated
2 cPastry flour, whole wheat
2 tbMolasses
2 Eggs
1 tsAlmond extract
1 cAlmonds; ground toasted
1/2 cButter
1/2 cAmaretto liqueur

Amaretto Cookies Preparation

Cream together butter and molasses. Add eggs, ground almonds, lemon rind and almond extract; mix well. Stir in Amaretto alternately with flour. Drop by teaspoonsful onto unoiled cookie sheets.
