Beef Tenderloin with Mushroom Sauce (07)
Original recipe makes 4
| 4 beef tenderloin steaks 1 1/2 in thick |
| 1 teaspooncoarsley ground pepper |
| 1/2 poundsliced fresh mushrooms |
| 1/2 teaspoonminced garlic |
| 1/3 cupbutter; cubed |
| 2 teaspoonsflour |
| 1 cupbeef broth |
| 3/4 cupdry red wine |
| 1/8 teaspoonsalt |
Beef Tenderloin with Mushroom Sauce (07) Preparation
Rub steaks with pepper. Grill, covered , over medium heat or broil 4 in from the heat for 6-8 minutes on each side or until meath reaches 145F. Meanwhile, in a large skillet, saute mushrooms and garlic in butter for 3-4 minutes or until tender. Stir in flour until blended. Gradually stir in the broth, wine and salt. bring to a boil; cook and stir for 2-3 minutes or until thickened. Serve with steaks.
