Gavin’s Chipotle & Avocado Ciabatta Burgers
|1 lblean ground beef/turkey|
|1 tspfreshly ground pepper|
|2 tspAdobo seasoning or garlic salt|
|1/3 cupmayonnaise or Miracle Whip|
|3 pinchesground chipotle|
|4 slicesextra sharp cheddar cheese|
|1 mediumavocado; sliced or mashed|
|4 ciabatta buns; sliced|
|1 bag"Baby Greens" salad blend or similar|
Gavin’s Chipotle & Avocado Ciabatta Burgers Preparation
Place beef into a large bowl. Sprinkle the ground pepper and Adobo evenly over the top. Combine and mix well with hands. Form beef into 4 or so large equal patties by rolling into balls while pressing to form strong, uniform patties. Patties will shrink in diameter by about 20% when cooking (depending on fat content) so make them extra flat and much larger than the ciabatta buns.
Grill patties slowly to preference and be sure to melt cheese on the patties during the last couple minutes of cooking. While melting the cheese, toast the ciabatta buns on the grill as well, inside down, to make them slightly crispy. Put mayonnaise in a small serving bowl and stir in 3 pinches or so of ground chipotle.
Slice the avocado & prep salad blend. Spread bottom bun with generous amount of chipotle mayo. Place large pile of salad blend on bun. Place the fresh burger patty on top of lettuce and slice a generous amount of avocado on top of cheese. Spread top bun with more chipotle mayo, top and serve with chips or fries.
