B's Sweet and spicy chicken marinade

Recipes »  Marinades and Sauces  »  Marinade

I discovered this marinade and threw it on some wings one night for a quick dinner. The family went nuts for it and now want it every time I make wings!

"Yum yum! I really enjoyed this it was great. I made a couple of adjustments, I used hot sauce instead of chilli flakes because I wanted it spicy and fresh garlic instead of powder because I had none. I also used it on chicken breast strips that I grilled, instead of baked. Going on my favourite list! " - Harriet_arkle

Easy and fast! Soaked about two hours and boy was it good! I substituted olive oil for the butter. I will make this a regular treat!

Easy marinade. Tastes great! I had to substitute dried chopped onion for the onion powder and olive oil for the butter, as well as honey Dijon dressing for the mustard. I halved the recipe and marinated 8 skinless chicken thighs for 3 hours, then grilled them. I will definitely make this again!

I made this chicken, and the family loved it! Could not make it too spicy on account that I have two toddlers. Nevertheless it was a hit!

Really, really nice! I used 1/2 tsp thyme and 1/2 tsp sage and marinated it overnight, came out great, never would have thought to add curry to a marinade!

The thyme was a bit overwhelming... Not quite my taste but my bf who's usually hard to please said he liked it a lot. I'm not a curry fan so that might be it. Thanks for sharing, though! I know the bf will want md to make this again :)

Just curios why marinate only up to an hour I personally think 'the longer the merrier' even overnight
