S In a 4 qt pot, SLOW BOIL the 2# ground beef in 1 qt of water and add the grated onion after 30 minutes. Stirring occassionally.
Continue to slow boil the mix for another 1.5 hrs (2 hrs total) til the mixture gets to the right consistenc.y. The chili will reduce down greatly and the flavors will become more intense.
Refrigerate overnite and remove any fat the hardened on the surface.
Optional ingredient is .5 teaspoon unsweetened cocoa
