Asian Meatballs
Original recipe makes 4 Servings
| 1 poundGround pork |
| 1/3 cupPanko bread crumbs |
| 1/4 cupScallion; white and light green parts sliced |
| 1 largeEgg |
| 1 tablespoonSoy sauce |
| 1 tablespoonGinger; fresh minced |
| 2 clovesGarlic; minced |
| 1/2 cupBarbeque sauce |
| 1/4 cupDuck sauce; sweet and sour or plum sauce |
| 3 tablespoonHoisin sauce |
| 1 bagSnow peas |
| 1 cupRice |
Asian Meatballs Preparation
Combine port, panko, scallions, egg, soy sauce, ginger, 1 tbs hoisin sauce and garlic in a bowl. Roll into 1 inch balls
Add meatballs to slow cooker that has been sprayed with non stick cooking spray. Add meatballs
In a small bowl wisk together bbq sauce, plum sauce and hoisin sauce, with a little chicken or beef broth to thin out the sauce if cooking in a skillet. Pour over meatballs, stir to coat
Cover and cook 3 to 5 hours.
Serve over rice with scallions and snow peas.
