Ready in 45 minutes
I've been tweaking the quantities and ingredients a bit to try and come up with the perfect healthy banana bread. I think this recipe turned out perfect.
"1/2 cup packed brown sugar, but could use less even! Also reduced salt to 1/2 tsp, added 1/2 cup chopped walnuts and used 1 cup whole wheat flour and 1/2 cup pastry flour. BEST recipe for banana bread!"- Amgaard

Preheat your oven to 375. Beat the eggs in a bowl and add the vanilla extract. In a separate bowl mash the bananas. Add the bananas and apple sauce to the egg mixture. Optionally you can use to apples you've pureed in a food processor.
Combine all of the dry ingredients. Blend all of the ingredients together. Add the chocolate chips at the end.
Pour it into a greased bred pan, bake for 45-55 minutes.
Great dessert for kids lunches.

Johnvan 2 years agoSorry about that, I read my instructions and accidently wrote sugar. There is no sugar needed at all.

Epicmoments 2 years agoWant to make this because banana and flax are our favorites.... But need input: sugar listed in mixing but not in recipe ingredient list. What amount of sugar?
