I thought this recipe was lost, but I found it! Written on the back of a receipt from a doctor's visit dated 9-21-69! Soft, chewy, cinnamony, what else could anyone want?
Mix the butter, sugar and eggs in a large bowl. Mix the flour, cream of tartar, baking powder and salt in another. Blend the dry ingredients into the butter mix.
Now comes the fun part! Make balls of the dough that are about an inch in diameter (use your hands for this) and roll them in a mixture of 1 tablespoon of sugar and 1 teaspoon of cinnamon coating well.
Place the cookie balls on an ungreased cookie sheet and bake in a 350 degree oven for 10 minutes.
Don't overcook!!!
