Cheddar Cheese Cookies

These are so good you have to make one recipe for a party and the second batch to eat on the spot. Easy to make and they freeze well. Great as appetizers or served with soup.

Original recipe makes 48 Servings
1 stickmargarine
4 ouncessharp cheddar cheese; grated (about 2 cups)
1/2 teaspoonsalt
1/8 teaspoonred pepper
1 cupflour
1 cupRice Krispies
4 dozenpecan halves; if desired

Cheddar Cheese Cookies Preparation

Preheat oven to 350-degrees.

Cream margarine and cheese, add salt, red pepper and flour and mix well.

Add rice krispies and mix with hands.

Roll into small marble-sized balls.

Press flat.

Top each with pecan half.

Bake util brown, about 15 minutes.

Makes 48.
