Original recipe makes 10 Servings
1/2 poundground beef; or sausage, browned and drained
1/2 poundbacon; browned and drained
3/4 cuponions; chopped
1 can pork and beans in tomato sauce
1 can kidney beans; drained
1 can lima beans; drained
1 can butter beans; drained
1/2 cupbrown sugar
1/2 cupsugar
1 teaspoonsalt
1/2 cupketchup
1 teaspoondry mustard
2 tablespoonsvinegar

Cowboy Beans Preparation

Mix together ground beef, bacon, onions, pork and beans, kidney beans, lima beans, and butter beans. Mix together the brown sugar, sugar, salt, ketchup, dry mustard, and vinegar. Combine ketchup mixture with bean mixture. Bake at 350? for 40 minutes

We changed the recipe just a little bit. It was a big hit with my family and group of church friends. 

   * 1 pound lean ground beef
   * 1/2 cup chopped onion
   * 1/4 cup ketchup
   * 1/4 cup barbecue sauce
   * 1/4 c. granulated sugar
   * 1/4 c. brown sugar
   * 2 tbsp. sorghum or other molasses
   * 1 tbsp. chili powder
   * 1 tsp. salt
   * 1 tsp. pepper
   * 2 tbsp. mustard
   * 1 can (approx. 16 ounces) pork 'n beans
   * 1 can (approx. 16 ounces) butter beans, drained
   * 1 can (approx. 16 ounces) kidney beans, drained
   * 1 can (approx. 16 ounces) pinto beans, drained
   * 1/2 lb. bacon, cooked
