"My husband LOVED this, he said it would be a PERFECT food for Superbowl Sunday so I guess I should have waited til next weekend to make it. I used Texas Pete's Wing sauce (could not find Ken's as mentioned in a previous review) and did not find it to be too salty. I gave this recipe 4 stars only because I am not a big fan of buffalo wings to begin with so although I did think it was very good, this is something that I will make for my hubby in the future. 1. Place the frozen chicken breasts into a slow cooker, and pour in 3/4 of the wing sauce and the ranch dressing mix. Cover, and cook on Low for 7 to 8 hours.
2. Once the chicken has cooked, add the butter, and shred the meat finely with two forks. Pile the meat onto the hoagie rolls, and splash with the buffalo wing sauce to serve - use more or less depending on how spicy you like your meal.

bobby_ferkel 2 weeks agoI'm surprised that I'm not seeing anyone using chicken thighs instead of breasts. Thighs cook so nice and rich and can handle the heat over longer times. 4-5 hrs and you've got something great. Good starter recipe
ddesaussure 1 month agoEveryone enjoyed it but it was salty. I will play around with it next time and see if I can decrease the saltiness.

ApyPhil 2 months agoLove that this is made with frozen chicken. So easy and delicious! It was definitely too hot for us, so I substituted Stubb's Sweet Heat BBQ sauce and love it! Have made it numerous times and it's always a hit
ApyPhil 3 months agoLove that this uses frozen chicken-makes it even easier! We have made this a few times, experimenting with sauces each time. My favorite: mixing wing sauce and BBQ sauce for a sweet yet spicy sandwich!

MelissaDussault 4 months agoI probably wouldn't bother with the slow cooker again for this one. The chicken was a bit over cooked, and I didn't find there was much sauce left with the chicken. I'd get more flavor just cooking chicken and adding sauce after it was cooked... though I'd probably just bake chicken with the sauce on it.

TeamSheridan 11 month agoMy husband and I loved this...it was a little too spicy for our picky kids. Mine came out a bit too saucy, so I combined the leftovers with some leftover cooked egg noodles for another amazing second meal!
