-- FILLING --
6 cupsPears or Granny Smith apples; peeled and thinly sliced
1/4 cupWater
1/4 cupBrown sugar; firmly packed
2 tablespoonAll-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoonGround cinnamon
-- TOPPING --
1 cupQuaker oats
1/2 cupSlivered almonds
1/4 cupBrown sugar; firmly packed
1/4 cupMargarine or butter; melted
1/4 teaspoonGround cinnamon

Pear Cinnamon Oat Crumble Preparation

Heat oven to 350F. In large bowl, combine pears and water. Add sugar, flour and cinnamon; stir until fruit is evenly coated. Spoon into 8-inch square glass baking dish.

In medium bowl, combine topping ingredients; mix well. Sprinkle evenly over pears.

Bake 30-35 minutes or until pears are tender. Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream, if desired.
