This is a wonderfully comforting soup on a cold day.
Boil potatoes, celery, carrot and onion until tender. Drain off water. Return to heat and add chicken broth. Add ham, bacon and spices and cook for 15 minutes. Add butter and sour cream and serve.
May add grated parmesan cheese on top when serving if desired.
