Apple Dumplings
Ingredients

| 1 1/4 cupsSugar |
| 12 tablespoonbutter |
| 1 teaspoonCinnamon |
| 1/2 teaspoonVanilla |
| -- DUMPLINGS -- |
| 2 cansPillsbury crescent rolls |
| 2 Granny Smith apples peeled and sliced into 8 pcs |
| 24 ouncesMountain Dew |
Apple Dumplings Preparation
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
SAUCE: Combine all sauce ingredients in a sauce pan and stir over medium heat until the consistency of thick gravy. DUMPLINGS: Place apple slices in sauce and stir until well coated. Place a coated slice of apple in a crescent roll dough and close dough to form a dumpling pouch. Place dumpling in a large baking dish. Continue until all of the slices of apples have been used to form dumplings and placed in the baking dish. Pour the unused sauce over the dumplings in the dish. Pour the Mountain Dew over the contents of the dish. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 - 45 minutes or until golden brown.
